Deep-tech defence capability, faster.
DTDA connects R&D-intensive SMEs and scale-ups with defence users, industrial partners, and programme routes so promising technology moves from lab to operation.
What DTDA Is
Deep Tech Defence Alliance is an industry-led association of R&D-intensive SMEs, scale-ups, knowledge institutions, and industrial partners working on defence-relevant technology in the Netherlands and allied ecosystems.
DTDA helps members connect with defence users, sharpen operational use cases, navigate funding and programme routes, and find the industrial partners needed to move from prototype to fielded capability.
It also turns recurring ecosystem blockers into coordinated advocacy on regulation, finance, talent, testing, and production readiness.
What DTDA Does
DTDA is most useful when a company needs access, programme navigation, industrial lift, or a coordinated advocacy route.
Connect Members with Defence Users
Create structured introductions, workshops, and feedback loops with operators, programme teams, and public buyers.
Navigate Funding and Programmes
Translate capability into the right call, grant, pilot, or consortium route instead of leaving companies to decode the landscape alone.
Scale Production and Supply Chains
Match promising technology with manufacturing, certification, and supply-chain partners that can support production readiness.
Coordinate Advocacy Priorities
Surface recurring blockers across regulation, export, testing, talent, and procurement, then turn them into shared positions and follow-up.
Build Allied Routes
Create working links across the Dutch base, Northwest Europe, and Ukraine where operational need, industrial capacity, and innovation align.
How DTDA Works
The alliance is organised around a small set of operating principles that keep activity tied to deployable capability rather than generic networking.
Capability Pull
Start from real defence-user problems and capability gaps, not abstract technology showcases.
Open Architectures
Favour modular systems and integration paths that reduce lock-in and speed collaboration between members and partners.
Short Feedback Loops
Keep prototypes close to operators, trials, and programme teams so learning compounds quickly.
Industrial Readiness
Treat manufacturing, certification, and supply risk as part of the product, not follow-on admin.
Allied Interoperability
Build routes that work across the Dutch base, Northwest Europe, and Ukraine where requirements align.
